Zero City Lab continues its journey across southeastern Albania, engaging local communities in Korçë and Pogradec through a series of info sessions aimed at addressing urban waste management challenges through circular economy solutions.

The sessions brought together entrepreneurs, businesses, and local stakeholders, introducing them to the programme’s structure, key components, and opportunities for participation. Through Zero City Lab, selected teams will receive up to €50,000 in grant funding to develop and implement innovative solutions that reduce waste, promote recycling, and contribute to more sustainable urban environments.

Beyond presenting the programme, the events served as a platform for inspiration and knowledge exchange. Participants were introduced to success stories from previous initiatives, including Circular City Labs in Tirana and Shkodër, as well as local examples from the region, demonstrating how ideas can evolve into impactful, real-world solutions.

As part of the Urban Partnership Accelerator, Zero City Lab supports the development of practical, scalable approaches to circular economy challenges, with a focus on empowering local actors to drive change within their communities.
With the application process now open, innovators and businesses from Korçë, Pogradec, and Prrenjas are invited to join the programme and contribute to building cleaner, more sustainable cities. The application deadline is 15 August 2025. Apply here: https://albict.al/zero-city-labs-form/
