A new initiative promoting sustainable development and circular economy solutions has officially launched in Korçë with the first Zero City Lab Info Session, marking the beginning of a collaborative journey across the regions of Korçë, Pogradec, and Prrenjas.
Zero City Lab aims to empower entrepreneurs, local businesses, and innovators to design, test, and pilot solutions that reduce waste and promote more sustainable practices. The programme focuses on key sectors with strong regional potential, including agriculture and food processing, tourism, and textile manufacturing.

The launch event brought together a wide range of stakeholders, from representatives of the Prefecture of Korçë and local municipalities to universities, organizations, and ecosystem actors, creating a platform to exchange perspectives on regional challenges and identify opportunities for circular innovation. Discussions highlighted the importance of cross-sector collaboration in addressing environmental issues while unlocking new economic opportunities.
Through a structured process, Zero City Lab will support participants in developing practical, scalable solutions that contribute to the transition towards a circular economy at the local level. By combining innovation with sustainability, the initiative aims to strengthen regional ecosystems and foster more resilient and future-oriented communities.

Applications for the programme are now open, inviting innovators and businesses from the region to become part of this transformation journey. Apply here: Zero City Labs – Application Form – ALBICT
