Zero City Lab Accelerator | Demo Day

On 31 October, all eyes turned to Zero City Lab Demo Day, a celebration of innovation & sustainability where companies and start-ups, presented their ideas on reducing urban waste and promoting circular economy practices across Korca, Pogradec, and Prrenjas.

From biodegradable products to zero-waste restaurants, these are the stories redefining how Albania tackles urban waste and builds greener and cleaner communities.

11 businesses from sectors such as agri-processing, tourism, wood processing, and the circular economy presented innovative solutions for a greener and more sustainable development.

Following impressive presentations, 6 businesses were selected to move forward to the next phase:

– Thomas Enkelana
– Ekoprod
– Gjelbërimi
– M2 Furniture
– Back2Value Lab
– Pam Plast

Congratulations to all the businesses for their high-quality ideas and remarkable presentations!

A special thank you goes to the mentors, jury members, and all participants who contributed to Zero City Lab, bringing us one step closer to more sustainable cities and a more circular economy.

Zero City Lab is financially supported by the EU and German government, through EU4Innovation and EU4Circular Economy and Livable Cities and implemented by ALBICT and Layer, in partnership with the municipalities in the region.
