‘Teach the teacher’ Programme for Entrepreneurship Education at Albanian Universities, was finalized with a Pitching Competition.
Over 30 university lecturers enrolled in the programme. 21 participants from 15 different universities went through the experiential learning experience and collaborated, divided in 6 teams, to develop and pitch a business cases in front of a jury.
A team of three lecturers, all coming from different universities: Dr. Erida Elmazi of Metropolitan University & Tirana University, Dr. Anjeza Xhaferaj, European University of Tirana and Dr. Besmira Lahi of New York University of Tirana, were selected as winners of the best pitch with their “Mental Health” app.
A special thanks goes to our dedicated jury members: Eileen Trenkmann, Freelance communication & start-up expert, Kushtrim Shala, Innovation Consultant/ Ecosystem Builder/ Start-up Mentor and Joost Reimert, experienced Entrepreneur/ co-founder of Preneurz.Amsterdam, for the valuable feedback provided to the participants.
Dr. Balzhan Orazbayeva, Manager of Strategic Initiatives, made a short introduction of UIIN [University Industry Innovation Network]. Access to the UIIN digital library & resources was the prize given to the winning team.
As a closing of the event, Dr. Jacqueline Jaspert presented an outlook towards future interventions of EU for Innovation. University related interventions are implemented as part of the project’s mission to strengthen the innovation ecosystem of Albania.
