The Pitching Event for the selection of the start-ups for the 2nd Cohort of the Matchmaking & Exposure Programme, was held on the 7th and 9th of December. Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, the whole event was carried out virtually!
20 shortlisted applicants in ICT, Online Business and Online Gaming sectors, were invited to pitch and present their business cases and solutions, in front of a jury composed of two representatives from EU for Innovation, Patrik Fetahaj and Stephan Daiber, as well as two representatives from Social Impact, respectively Norbert Kunz and Olaf Weberring.
Each start-up had 5 minutes to pitch, followed by a Q&A session from the jury. Evaluation of the pitches was based on their business case and the innovation they bring, as well as on how much they could benefit from the two-week programme/ trip to Germany.
In total 11 start-ups were selected to join the programme. Check the link below to learn who they are: https://fb.watch/2FsJLkaDs2/
Because of travel restrictions due to Covid-19, the planned trip to Germany is postponed for May/ June 2021 and an adapted Online Programme was designed to support and prepare the selected start-ups for the German ecosystem and a soft landing once the travel is possible.
The Call for Applications for the 3rd Cohort will be opened in the coming months, so stay tuned for more updates on our website and social media channels!
