Launching event of the 1st Tirana Hackathon

This evening, EU for Innovation and Crazy Town officially launched the 1st TiranaHackathon, at the premises of the Municipality of Tirana.

In a room packed with students, researchers, university representatives, innovators, coaches and successful players of the innovation ecosystem in Albania, the Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj presented to the participants the challenge of this 1st Hackathon – “How to make Tirana an European hotspot for digital nomads?”.

Minister for Protection of Entrepreneurship, Eduard Shalsi congratulated the 11 university teams for their ingenious and entrepreneurial spirit and wished them good luck in in finding real solutions, that will possibly serve them in establishing their own startups and businesses in the future.

Tomorrow morning the real challenge starts at Polis University! 36 hours full of creative work and the final presentations of the ideas/solutions in a #pitching competition on Friday afternoon. We will keep you posted on the latest updates, so stay tuned!
