As part of its ongoing support to innovation ecosystems across Albania, EU4Innovation organised a visit to the Korça Innovation Hub, a dynamic space that is rapidly becoming a key reference point for young people in the city. Bringing together students, freelancers, entrepreneurs, and creatives, the hub fosters an environment where ideas can grow into innovative solutions and future opportunities.
During the visit, EU Ambassador Silvio Gonzato engaged with members of the hub’s community, including participants of the ICT Clubs programme supported by EU4Innovation. The discussion offered valuable insights into the projects developed by young innovators, as well as their aspirations, challenges, and perspectives on the role of technology in shaping Albania’s future.

Representatives from diverse fields shared their experiences, highlighting the strong potential of Korça as an emerging centre for innovation. Their commitment, creativity, and drive reflect a new generation that is actively contributing to local development through digital skills and entrepreneurial thinking.

The Korça Innovation Hub is among the initiatives supported by EU4Innovation to strengthen local capacities and foster inclusive, decentralised innovation. By enabling spaces like this, the programme ensures that young people across Albania, beyond the capital, have access to resources, networks, and opportunities to develop their ideas.
By investing in youth, skills, and innovation, EU4Innovation contributes to building a more inclusive, resilient, and forward-looking society, where local communities are empowered to shape their own development pathways in line with European values.
