Hackathon Workshops with business and industry representatives

CrazyTown team from Finland were in Tirana early October to conduct two preparatory workshops: one with representatives of industries/ businesses and the other with Universities, aiming at introducing to them the concept of hackathons as a powerful tool to mobilise resources and create value together; and then discussing and defining some possible challenges worth solving as themes for the hackathons. Among the preliminary hackathon themes identified during the workshops, there are: “Tirana Smart City”, “Sustainable tourism and experience economy” and “Digitisation of Albanian industry and business”. As part of its mission to strengthen the innovation ecosystem of Albania, the EU for Innovation project, in cooperation with Crazytown, will organise a series of hackathons and one boot-camp to bring together Albanian universities and startups, in solving real-life challenges from industry and society.

Ekipi i CrazyTown nga Finlanda ishte në Tiranë në fillim të tetorit për të zhvilluar dy punëtori përgatitore: njëra me përfaqësues të industrisë/ bizneseve dhe bashkive, dhe tjetra me përfaqësues të Universiteteve, me qëllimin për të prezantuar dhe hulumtuar mbi konceptin e hackathon – si një mjet të fuqishëm për të mobilizuar burimet [njerëzore dhe materiale] për krijimin e ideve që vlejnë; por edhe diskutimin dhe përcaktimin e disa sfidave të mundshme që meritojnë vëmendje për t’u përzgjedhur si tema për “hackathons”. Si pjesë e misionit të saj për të forcuar ekosistemin e inovacionit të Shqipërisë, projekti BE për Inovacionin në bashkëpunim me Crazytown, do të organizojë një seri hackathon-ësh dhe një bootcamp për të bashkuar universitetet shqiptare dhe fillimet në zgjidhjen e sfidave /problematikave konkrete që vijnë nga industria dhe shoqëria.
