Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW Albania 2024) has officially begun! Today’s opening ceremony at the Pyramid of Tirana set the stage for an inspiring week ahead. This year’s GEW Albania is poised to bring together over 50 events backed by 35 partners from various sectors.

Sebastian Berwanger, Project Manager at EU4Innovation, highlighted the significance of this event by stating: “Since 2017 we have supported more than 15,000 jobs in the country, so we can say that sustainable economic development is one of our core areas of work. That follows the same vein of this year’s Global Entrepreneurship Week motto which is ‘Entrepreneurship is for everyone.’ This is something that we truly believe, and think can bring Albania much forward. Through entrepreneurship, we can go toward sustainable economic development in the framework of accelerating the integration into the union.”

Stay tuned as Tirana becomes the hub for global innovation and entrepreneurial spirit from November 18–25!

The EU, Germany and Sweden are working with the Government of Albania to create more high-paying jobs in Albania, by developing the innovation economy through EU4Innovation.
