Finalization of Tirana Inc. the number one incubator for researchers

The 2nd cohort of Tirana Inc. wrapped up its journey on June 5th with a Demo Day event at Tirana Lake Amphitheater, where 11 amazing start-ups pitched their innovative business ideas.

The event began with opening remarks by Dr. Elona Karafili, Tirana Inc. Director, and Mr. Sebastian Berwanger, EU4Innovation Project Manager, followed by inspiring speeches from Mr. Andrea Ferrero, Head of Section Sustainable Economic and Social Development, and Ms. Delina Ibrahimaj, Minister of State for Entrepreneurship and Business Climate.

The esteemed jury – Brano Diurovic, CEO at One Albania, Briseida Gjoza, Co-founder and CEO of Consci-CSG, and Rubin Haxhiymeri, Strategic Partnerships at Cardio Al, announced three winners: KinetoCHARGE winning the Green Innovation Prize, KineMorph securing the Digital Innovation Prize, and Dancing Cells receiving the SDG Innovation Prize.

Congratulations to all graduated start-ups!

The EU, Germany and Sweden are working to create more high paying jobs in Albania, by developing the innovation economy through EU4Innovation.
