On November 25th, with the journalists, within the campaign Europe is Here, we visited some businesses in north Albania that are supported by the EU in Albania. Also present was the head of cooperation of the European Union in Albania, Hubert Perr.
We started our visit at Alpine Bees where Rinaldo Gjolaj showed us the environment around his business, where honey and its products are produced and processed, in high quality and using innovative and traditional methods.
The next stop was at Innovation in Tradition, a startup run by Meliha Zyberaj that deals with the production and use of silk as well as trains young girls in mastering this craft. In this center we observed the process of extracting the silk thread from the worm.
