Invited to represent EU for Innovation’s academia partner in Albania, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alba Kruja, Professor of Management and Dean of Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Epoka University, attended the 10th Anniversary Conference Ideate, Innovate, Inspire, Interact, organized by University Industry Innovation Network (UIIN) on June 13-15 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
UIIN actively advances the field of university-industry collaboration, conducting large-scale research projects funded by national and international governments, as well as supports the leadership, academics, and professional staff operating at the interface of higher education and industry, aiming at enabling them to enhance collaboration and drive cultural change.
The UIIN conference was a great opportunity to learn about best global practices on developing entrepreneurial and engaged Universities, aiming to bridge the gap between academia and industry, by addressing solutions to societal and economic challenges, through a process build on trust, communication, and commitment among stakeholders.
Organized in different parallel sessions the event included keynote speeches, workshops, case studies on individual or institutional initiatives, research or special sessions bringing together 500+ participants from academia and industry, from 250+ organizations, 100+ speakers and 60+ countries. The conference was all about providing a good mix of science and practice, insights from the minds of renowned leaders, hands-on learning through workshops and recognition, and celebration of successes and knowledge sharing.
As part of its mission to strengthen the innovation ecosystem of Albania, especially in the light of encouraging cooperation between academia and private sector, EU for Innovation has been collaborating with UIIN, offering services to Albanian universities such as webinars, trainings, mentoring, access to the UIIN digital library, etc.
