Day 1 of Challenge Fund Bootcamp

The jury of the Challenge Fund finally met with the teams behind the innovative ideas that made it to the Bootcamp phase of the 4th call. Due to the measures taken to prevent the spread of the pandemic, this Bootcamp took place online.

On the first part of the day, we listened to the presentations of 6 startups, each one very interesting and operating in a different field.

”Immortelle”, a startup about cultivating medicinal and aromatic plants in Albania with the aim to give farmers a chance to export their products.

“Albanian Parcel Distribution” explained us how their innovative warehouse will reduce transport speed by 50%.

“Akademi.al” offered tailor-made online school lessons to the needs of the students as a very forward-thinking way of learning and teaching.

“Funky Cabin” introduced a new way of camping in woody hand-made cabins that meet every need in all seasons.

“Praktika.al” offered a wide range of courses and services.

“Bees and Trees” presented eco-friendly and sustainable skin-care products.

The Bootcamp went on with the presentation of three Innovation Support Organizations (ISO). They discussed with the jury the budget, the sustainability and the predictions of their project in details.

The first to go was “Albanian Young Entrepreneurs Union” that promotes young entrepreneurs, empowers SMEs and supports partnership in Albanian and Diaspora business initiatives.

It was followed by “Dua Partner Invest” by “Partners Albania for Change and Development”, a platform community that will assist startups dealing with the challenge to access funds.

The last one was “Division 5” that presented the first virtual hub for Albanian developers through a dedicated platform.

We want to thank everyone for presenting us a broad overview of their projects!
