
The European Union, Germany, and Sweden together as Team Europe, continue the collaboration with the Government of Albania, to develop and boost the Albanian Innovation Agenda.

During Circular City Lab – Tirana kick-off event, Mr. Hubert Perr pointed out that that two EU-funded flagship projects engage in this initiative, to further strengthen cooperation with the Municipality of Tirana for sustainable development: EU4Innovation and EU for Circular Economy and Circular Economy for Sustainable Urban Development.
Both, Dr. Iven Schad, Head of German Development Cooperation, as well as Dr. Sonja Kurz, GIZ Country Director, stressed the importance and significance, that three BMZ-funded projects contribute to the Circular City Lab – Tirana. The two above mentioned and the global project Circular City Labs.


Implemented by GIZ Albania together with the Municipality of Tirana, the Circular City Lab – Tirana aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through waste prevention.
