The 4th EU for Innovation Project Steering Committee Meeting was held at the premises of the Ministry of Finance and Economy, with the presence of representatives from the EU Delegation in Albania, the German and Swedish Embassies in Tirana, the Ministry of Finance and Economy, the Ministry of State for Protection of Entrepreneurship, GIZ in Albania and EU for Innovation.
During the meeting, Head of Cooperation at the EU Delegation in Albania, Mr. Hubert Perr stressed the importance and role of EU for Innovation as a flagship project in Albania, by combining the financial support of the EU, German and Swedish governments, with the expertise of GIZ Albania and SIDA in its implementation.
Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy, Ms. Olta Manjani, stated that the results achieved by the project during the last three years, to strengthen and support the Albanian innovation ecosystem and boost start-up creation, are very impressive. At the time of the meeting, most project indicators had been either overachieved or fully achieved, as reported by the Project Managers of GIZ and SIDA.
The project partners of the multi-donor-action also agreed and informed that the EU for Innovation project will be prolonged for another six months, until the end of September 2022.
